Accessible parking

  • Accessible parking is available for those with a verified ADA placard or license plate.  The person to whom the placard or plate is issued must be present in the vehicle as a driver or passenger.
  • ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) parking placards, plates, and DMV paperwork/permits will be checked to gain entry to Accessible Parking. Firefly festival staff will direct you to these areas on the day(s) of the event. This is to reduce abuse of the pass.

*Please note that it is against the law to park in an Accessible Parking space without the required placard, permit, or license plate, or to use another person’s documentation in order to park in an Accessible Parking space.

Shuttles

  • Accessible shuttles are available from parking and camping areas to the Firefly festival gates.
  • Accessible shuttles are available across festival grounds to transport guests with disabilities throughout different areas within the venue.
  • Please check in with local airports, hotels, and transportation hubs for information regarding local shuttles to Dover International Speedway.

Accessible Camping

  • Preferred Camping locations are available for those with Accessibility needs. Campsites include close access to paths, entrances, exits, shuttles, accessible restrooms, and accessible showers.
  • Accessible Camping spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please buy a GA camping spot, then contact us at accessibility@redfrogevents.com with the transaction number found in your confirmation email to reserve your spot. Registering helps us prepare for your group and plan our Accessible Camping area.  A limited number of spots are available to unregistered guests, but are not guaranteed. You need a verified ADA placard or license plate to enter the Accessible Camping area. The person to whom the placard or plate is issued must be present in the vehicle as a driver or passenger. As part of gaining access to Accessible Camping, identification will be checked to ensure legitimate use.
  • All ADA and non-ADA showers are available for $5/shower.

Access Service Center and Access Shuttle Stations

  • There is one main Accessibility Center just inside the south entrance in close proximity to the Accessible Campgrounds. Additionally, each of the four viewing platforms has a shuttle pick-up and drop-off center that may serve as secondary access centers.
  • If you should need any assistance while inside the festival grounds, please head to the Accessibility Center or in-festival shuttle stops and someone will be happy to help you.
  • The Accessibility Center opens when the gates open and closes after nightly exodus.

Terrain

  • Please note that Firefly Music Festival takes place on natural terrain. There are gravel roads throughout much of the festival grounds and grass areas around the stages. The Pathway is on mulch and may be difficult for some. If so, please check in at the ADA Accessibility Center and a shuttle will assist you.
  • If it rains, the festival area may become muddy and difficult to get around. Please make sure to prepare yourself for rain and/or other natural occurrences that may change the nature of the terrain. Off-road wheelchair tires and pneumatic tire repair kits are recommended. In the case of inclement weather, certain parts of the festival, including Hammock Hangout and Tree House Sessions, may be inaccessible for wheelchairs or motorized vehicles.
  • The Firefly Festival grounds are sprawling. Ample travel time is necessary to access the entire event.

Getting Around

  • Electric Mobility Devices: Only powered wheelchairs and three-wheeled or four-wheeled scooters are permitted.
  • Absolutely no personal golf carts are allowed.
  • We do not provide wheelchair or scooter rentals.
  • If you need to recharge your motorized wheelchair, you may do so at the Accessibility Center.
  • Patrons should bring all cords and accessories needed to charge their devices. Chargers must use a 110-volt, 20 amp circuit.

Accessibility Credentials

  • A Firefly Accessibility wristband will serve as your credential for the shuttling service and viewing platform access for you and one companion. If for any reason your accessibility wristband falls off, or you must take it off, you will need to bring that original wristband to the Access Center in order to obtain a replacement. Absolutely no replacement wristbands will be issued unless the original is brought to the Access Center.

In-Festival Transportation – The Access Shuttle Stations

  • In-festival shuttling is limited and offers transportation to and from select viewing platforms.  The service is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • ADA Patrons should expect to wait 30-45 minutes for shuttles during peak times.
  • No wheelchair pushing services are provided. Please be sure to bring a companion if needed.
  • We encourage all patrons to utilize personal forms of transportation, including wheelchairs and scooters.

  • An Accessibility wristband is required to gain entry to the raised viewing platforms. Please visit the Access Center to obtain a Firefly Accessibility wristband.

Service animals are welcome. Pets are not.

Persons with disabilities and their service dogs or miniature horses that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for those persons with disabilities are welcome at Firefly Festival, as are those training service animals. Other types of animals and pets are not allowed.

The Following Are Not Service Animals

  • By law, if an animal’s purpose or task is to provide protection, emotional support, well-being, comfort, or companionship, it is not considered a service animal and may not come to Firefly.

Service Animals in Training

  • Service animals in training must be advanced enough in their training to handle an event as intense as Firefly.

Service Animal Procedure

  • When you approach check-in, as you first enter the site, tell the gate staff that you have a service animal. A friendly service animal screener will confirm the status of the animal.
  • Confirmed service animals will receive a Firefly tag.
  • Once a service animal has received the official Firefly tag indicating it has been screened, staff is not likely to question the handler again unless the animal causes a problem.

Service Animal Handlers

Take Note: A service animal must adhere to the following conditions or the handler must remove the animal from the site. The handler may return without the animal. The animal must:

  • Be housebroken
  • Be under the control of it’s handler at all times
  • Not threaten the health or safety of any person or animal

Caring for your Service Animal

  • Do not leave your animal at your campsite. All service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls.
  • Service animals must be housebroken and should use the service animal relief area provided in Accessible Camping.
  • Be prepared to carry and provide plenty of water for your service animal.
  • Bring enough food for your service animal. Dog food is not sold at the festival.

More About Pets

  • Firefly is not a place to bring your pet.
  • Firefly is hot, crowded, loud, and if your animal is lost in a crowd of thousands, we don’t know if you will find it again.

Your Animal, Your Responsibility

  • Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal.

How May We Assist You?

Anyone who has questions or needs regarding their service animal may contact us or stop by the Accessibility Center during the festival. We welcome service animals!

Medical Considerations

It is highly encouraged that all medications be left at your campsite, in vehicles, or wherever you are staying. However, if you need access to your medication while inside the festival, please contact us so we can account for this. Any medications brought to Firefly Music Festival must be in a prescription package with your name on the label and accompanied by a valid ID. There can only be one type of pill per container. All other medication will be confiscated and disposed of.

Basic over-the-counter medications are for sale within the festival and camping areas.

Medical devices, of any kind, may be charged at the Accessibility Center.

Please note that neither Red Frog Events LLC, Red Frog Events LLC, nor Firefly medical staff, nor Firefly volunteers are responsible for any items that are lost or stolen from your campsite, vehicle, the Medical Tent, or person at the festival.

Special Dietary Needs

  • Firefly Festival is serving up distinct pop-up restaurants, each with its own unique concept and menu.  Firefly will also feature a local brewery and wine selections. There will be options to suit every taste and dietary need.
